Honey Face Masks

Honey mask is totally edible and doesn’t expose my skin to the chemicals found in most beauty products.

Honey Face Mask for Acne-Prone Skin

Mix:

  • Mix 3 teaspoons honey and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon together, and apply to your face.
  • Leave the mask on for 10-30 minutes.
The antibacterial properties of both honey and cinnamon are especially beneficial for acne-prone skin. (Cinnamon can occasionally be irritating if your skin is really sensitive, so you might want to do a patch test on the back of your hand first.)

Honey Face Mask for Dry Skin

Mix:
  • Mix 1 teaspoon mashed avocado, 1 teaspoon plain whole milk yogurt, 1 teaspoon honey in a small bowl until smooth.
  • Spread the mixture over your face and let it sit for 20-30 minutes before washing it off.
The fats in the avocado and whole milk yogurt are deeply moisturizing to the skin, while the lactic acid in the yogurt smooths your skin, refines pores, and stimulates collagen production.

Honey Face Mask for Sensitive Skin

Mix:

  • Stir 1 teaspoon of aloe vera gel and 2 teaspoons honey together and apply over your face.
  • Leave it on for about 10-20 minutes.
Aloe soothes inflammation and calms your skin, perfect for those with sensitive, irritated skin.

Honey Face Mask for Scars and Dark Spots

Mix:

  • Combine 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice and 2 teaspoons of honey, and apply the mixture to your face.
  • Allow it to sit for 20-30 minutes.
Lemon juice exfoliates your skin, brightens dark spots and fades scars. Your skin will feel smooth and soft right away, but it may take a few applications to notice a real difference in scars and spots.

How To Get Rid Of Dark Spots On Your Face III: For age and sun spots

For Age And Sun Spots:

Mix:

  • Mix 1/4 cup of homemade rose water, a teaspoon of lemon juice, and a tablespoon of aloe vera together.
  • Then add an essential oil like frankincense to your mixture.
  • Apply after your cleansing routine as a toner before you moisturize.

Why It Works:

Rose water is rich in vitamin C, balances pH levels, and because it's a natural anti-inflammatory it's not only going to work to lighten your dark spots, it's going to treat existing pimples as well.
Lemon juice has been addition to toners, cleansers, and exfoliates because of the bleaching properties. Using lemon juice on its own can result in additional pigmentation problems, so adding this vitamin-C packed fruit to rosewater is a great way to get the bleaching benefits without going too overboard on skin lightening.
Aloe vera contains an incredibly high amount of vitamin E, literally one of the most popular and effective ways to remove scars, and naturally restores skin's pH level.
