Head lice and nits

Head lice are tiny parasitic bugs that live on the scalp and hair of humans. They are easily spread from one person to another, especially among children going to school. Tea tree oil is a powerful weapon used to kill head lice without any harmful side effects.
Tea tree oil contains natural insecticides, antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, and antiseptic properties, and terpinen, a natural bacteria-fighting ingredient, all of which prevent and kill lice effectively.
Tea tree oil coats the hair and scalp, contains agents that will kill head lice and its eggs, and soothes and heals the irritated scalp affected by lice.

It is not recommended to ingest tea tree oil as it is toxic in nature and can cause side effects like drowsiness, confusion, diarrhea, and coma.
Tea tree oil should not be used by pregnant or breast feeding women.

Instructions:
  1. Sprinkle a few drops of tea tree oil on the affected scalp and hair before going to sleep.
  2. Leave overnight with a towel on the pillow to kill the lice and eggs.
  3. The next morning, comb your hair to remove the dead lice.
  4. Wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner containing tea tree oil. Also, you can mix a teaspoon of tea tree oil with your shampoo.
  5. Repeat regularly as needed.
  6. Tea tree oil shampoo and conditioner is great for repelling and killing lice. 

Make sure to test the tea tree oil on your skin for sensitivity or allergies. Dilute the oil with water if necessary.


PREVENTION:

1. Mix 10 – 15 drops of tea tree oil and 2 cups of water in an empty spray bottle.

2. Spray the solution on any lice-affected area including hair, furniture, clothing, stuffed animals, and toys.

3. Repeat regularly as needed.

To kill lice from collect toys, stuffed animals, clothes etc. in tightly-sealed garbage bags. This smothers and kills the lice.
